How are the internal hemorrhoids classified?

Internal hemorrhoids are classified in ascending order of the degree of severity as follows:

1. No prolapse occurs even on straining.
2. Prolapse occurs upon straining but it reduces spontaneously afterwards.
3. Protruded hemorrhoids are present that do not reduce spontaneously but digital reduction reduces them.
4. Hemorrhoid that do not reduce.
